A friend of mine gave me a DVD which he recorded/authored (used loosely) using a desktop pioneer recorder via DAT camcorder. I can not get this DVD to play using any standalone DVD player. I can, 2 out of 5 times, get it to play on my Toshiba R5002 PC unit with WinDVD.
It was recorded onto DVD-RW and I had originally intended to rip and re-author it anyhow but now I can't even do that. It can not be read by any of my proggies (SmartRipper, DVDfab, DVD Shrink, IFOedit, DVDxCopy, DVD Decrypter, etc.) nor can it even be accessed using Explorer. I either get "invalid disk" or "No VIDEO_TS found" error messages.
What I need to know is if there's any way to get the contents off of this disk and onto my HD? Should I break out my "Lost and Found" app?
Any and all input is greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Golem
