  1. I have a VCD disc that I want to back up. When I try to extract the MPEG with VCDGear, the mpeg file freezes in the middle of the movie. I tried opening the .DAT file with virtual dub, but whenever it reachs the end of parsing mpeg1 file it gives me an error messege. Any suggestions?

If you are backing up an existing VCD to (another cd) then use CLONECD or CDRwin to do a straight copy of the disc.

    You could also use IsoBuster.

  4. Sorry I didn't explain this correctly. I want to rip the mpeg file so I can burn it onto a DVD. ISOBuster would copy the cd, correct? Or would it extract the mpeg file?

It would extract the MPEG file(s) back onto the hard-drive.
