If you own a widescreen DVD of a movie, say xXx with vin diesel, and you want to create a VCD but want it in full screen but know the quality will be crap because of:
1.) widescreen vcds look really strange
2.) if you try to do a AR conversion it will look extremely weird
so what i'm trying to say, because you have the widescreen dvd of a movie, and you legally own a copy of the full picture (16:9 or 2:35:1), can you rent or borrow a full screen version of the same movie can you make a vcd from the ful screen version of that movie
if you need me to explain more just ask

The movie industry would like to lock you up for ten years for doing that but I say "if it feels good scratch it".
Really whats the big deal you already paid your dues IMO. -
I agree with Bob W. , as long as its for personal use.

PS. They should really start making more dvd's that have both widescreen and fullscreen on the same disc. Have you ever noticed that most movies only rack up to about 3.5 gb and the rest of the disc is not used? I mean come on!!! (OK I'm done bi!@#$%^&)
