How to convert a divx file to a DV-file?

  2. Open it thru VitrualDub and save as an uncompressed AVI. WATCH OUT FOR BIG ASS FILE SIZES THOUGH!

nope, wrong. install a DV Codec, like the Mainconcept one (or if you have XP, i believe it comes with one) open your Divx in Virtual dub, select video, compression then select the DV codec you installed. this will end up about 8 times smaller than an uncompressed file, at 3.5 megabytes a second, or 13 gigs an hour.

    ok, i'll try again

install a DV Codec, like the Mainconcept one (or if you have XP, i believe it comes with one) open your Divx in Virtual dub, select video, compression then select the DV codec you installed. now click "file - Save AVI" and choose an output location. THIS IS A DV FILE. this will end up about 8 times smaller than an uncompressed file, at 3.5 megabytes a second, or 13 gigs an hour.
