Pinnacle dc10+ install

Ok, I have just installed my pinnacle dc10 + cap card. I wana use it via virtual dub. I had a win tv theatre installed before hand. This card came with studio 8.

If you have a dc10+ card can you please reply and tell me the best way to install it. My first install did not go well :/

To my knowledge, DC10 only works with VirtualDub with Win98 (and maybe ME, but not with 2000 or XP). I'm afraid you have to capture using Studio 8.

make sure you install all software including the drivers before you install the card. dc10 is a very fussy card

just a thought but have you got the updated driver for dc10/xp/2000 from pinnacle sight

I had a couple of blue screens of death with it to start with (under windows 98se), but I moved it to a different slot in the pc and the installed the software and it worked OK with Studio 7. However, I never got Virtualdub working with it, and have used AVI_IO instead, which seems to work OK. I can't remember if I used the vfw/wdm wrapper, but AVI_IO works without it.
