noise reduction

where can i find this option in tmpgenc ,cazn somebody explain what this does,thx

The Noise Reduction filter is accessed through Setting-->Advanced tab. If you use the wizard, it is accessed on screen 3/5, or screen 4/5-->Expert--Advanced tab. The TMPGEnc Explained guide in the Newbie section says:

Noise reduction: Noise reduction is useful when encoding from an MPEG source. MPEG adds noise to the picture around sharp edges. A setting of "[Still Picture:2] [Range:1] [Time Axis:2]" is helpful in
removing such noise, but it can slightly reduce detail in the picture without removing all the noise. - mikk
