All my AVI files are displayed in thumbnail view, this helps me indentify a completed file and un-completed file. I've just uni-stalled Real Player and now the files no longer display the thunmbnails - even though I have the option of view as thumbnails ticked.
Is there anyway I can get this back? I've re-installed Real Player but it didn't help.
I've even tried the following registry edit I gained from a couple of sites but no go
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.aviShellEx]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.aviShellEx{BB 2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B- 00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}"
saved as patch.reg and then double clicked to execute.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm at a lost![]()

Whenever an install or uninstall messes up XP, I always use the system restore option to restore to the point just before the offending action - 99% of the time it fixes the problem. I suspect that your uninstall has either removed a system file or damaged the registry.
