Here's how I've figured out how to split disks and would like your input to see if this would work (I don't see why it woudn't)
1) rip all movie vob's to a folder.
2) manually move half the vob's to another folder (don't let the folders exceed the max amount for each dvd-r)
3) rename your files in the second folder from say: video_05 - video_08 to video_01 through video_04
4) run IFOedit on each folder and make new Ifo's and Bups...
5) burn each disk
This should be an easy way to split your disks...keeping your 100% quality.
Would this work? What problems do you think I would encounter?

Yeah that sounds like should work. But it doesn't seem necessary. Why not just rip the DVD, then use IFOEdits "spilt to 2 DVD-Rs" command:

I mean since it's already built into IFOEdit why take the extra steps
