Having a joy of a time backing up sopranos dvd's and yes.. I did the search.

I currently have 4 seperate "dvd's" (4 episodes) that would fit on a single dvd-r. But since each episode shares the same file names for vob, bup's and the like; how do I "join" them to make a single dvd-r?

I ripped the disk with smart ripper; re-encoded each episode with dvd2one; and now I'm stuck since I can't figure out a way to make them all go on the same disk. Help appreciated.!>!>!

The new version of DVD2ONE,ver1.1.1 will convert the disk complete. Rip the disk in file or backup mode so that all files are copied. 1.1.1 should have no problem converting to 4.34GB's. I've converted Sopranos disks this way,it works.

  3. Gary W:

rename the files in the sequence u want: VTS_1_001.vob, .002VOB etc.

    use vobedit to join them.

use ifoedit to create new ifos.

run dvd2one to shrink to 4.36GB.

    burn.

    smile & enjoy

Thanks for the update on DVD2ONE. I updated to the newer version and the "Full Disk" option simply is great. Used DVDDecrypter to rip all the files and then Dvd2One 1.11 to resize. The longest part of the entire process was the actual burn time.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sopranos dvd's I made. I'm using this method for all backups!
