  1. Which one usually has better quality? Quicktime files or Windows Media Player files?

The reason I ask is I've been downloading short video clips, and I want to know which one I should download for the best quality.

Also, can either of them be converted to .avi files?

    Thanks for any input....

on the internet, quicktime movies are better. in reality, it depends on how you do them. you can get equal quality quick time and wmp files if you do them right.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

  3. You can convert anything into anything, but the question do you want to and/or why? Most video you d/load is going to be either DivX or xvid. A 'correctly' encoded DivX/xvid file can look excellent. I say correctly because a lot of people f&ck it up (esp resolution).

wmv vs. qt I personally think that wmv files are easier to work with (because I have a PC and M$ has been releasing a fair amount of free software tools). But it's really up to you.
