  1. I have some mpg2 files that I have successfully burned on DVD disks before, using other sw. I would like to learn Maestro. It seems like I can not add an mpg video file that has sound on it into the assets window in Maestro. What is the best way to demux the mpg and get an m2v and a sound file?

I tried using TMPG but it wants to render it. Is there a way to demux without rendering?

Thanks in advance for any info.

  2. I figured out how to use TMPG to demux. I got a m2v and a mp2 sound file. Problem is when drag and drop the mp2 file from the assets to the audio track in Maestro, it does not ine itself up with the video track. Should I convert my udio file to ac3? Would it line up then? Should I use BeSweet to do it?

once you have your audio asset on your audio track: drag it off the left hand side and release the mouse button. It will snap into place at the beginning & be perfectly lined up with the video.
