    Ok so here's the deal I've been trying to convert this movie I downloaded to mpeg2, after some problem getting it into tmpg I suceeded, however after it was encoded only the video file worked and the sperate wav file did not, I've tried abunch of formats for the audio but I get no sound, should I use some other program to encode the audio?

    What kind of audio is it??
    Use gSpot to check the avi

    How did you extract the audio??
    Also are you making svcd or dvd? SVCD requires 44.1khz and DVD requires 48khz

    Well I used vdub to extract the audio just recently and that worked but when I burned it to a dvd I get audio for abit then after awhile both the audio and the video freeze...everything works fine when I watch the files on the computer though
