  1. I have a mpg-2 svcd from a cd and when I try to put it into TMPG it says the file is unsupported....do i have to use vcdgear to extract the .dat from the cd....so that the image is then useable...any imput will help

  2. TmpGenc is 'awkward' wehn it comes to opening mpeg-2 files. The more recent version will only do so if you have one of 4 certain mpeg-2 codecs installed. The one that comes with PowerDVD is one of them. Download the demo and install it. If that doesn't help, get the modded version of virtualdub that will handle mpeg-2 video and use it to frameserve the video to Tmpgenc.
