My clock keeps changing time despite the number of times I change it back and the night before last I couldn't boot, I just kept getting 'windows is starting' (WinXP) and nothing else rather than the 'welcome' that normally appears.
I gave up but tried booting again last night and all was fine.
I've ran a check and all seems clean.
    Any thoughts?
"yes, you have a virus" doesn't really help me
    Thanks,
    Will

Could be a motherboard/CMOS battery problem.

    CMOS?
    Never thought of that!
A loose battery or a replacement required?
    Thanks,
    Will

    Baby face is right...

theres something wrong with your CMOS battery or something.. How long has that battery been there?
If its a long time then you should replace it.
