  1. Been backing up my DVD collection and have run into several movies that appear to have the same problem. A few of the movies are Scooby Doo, Spiderman and Honey I Blew Up the Kid.

I rip the main movie files and main movie using DVD Decrypter but when I open IFOEdit and try to create new IFOs via the "Create IFOs" button I get this error:

"Could not find any VOB unit in VOB file(s)"

In the example of Scooby Doo, here are the files that DVD Decrypter spat out:

    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_PGC_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_PGC_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_PGC_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_PGC_01_4.VOB

One more note, the VOB files will play fine from the hard drive via WinDVD.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated?

Be sure your DVD Decrypter is in the right mode. ISO/IFO/etc.
Also be sure the thing has options set properly.

  3. The Problem is, the Filenames must be VTS_01_n.VOB.
    Always rip in File-Mode !

If you want to strip or split use DVDToolbox.
If it ain't the prompt it ain't shit

  4. It was the filenames. Thanks a ton.

Anyone have a link to a FAQ or resource about valid/legal VOB filenames?

    Thanks again.

Valid ones are VTS_XX_XX.VOB where XX is a number.
