  1. This is a bit confusing to me, hopefully you guys know whats up. I'm using Nero 5.5.4.0 to burn a movie in a bin and cue file:

    twc-jasb1
    BIN file
    537 MB (563,955,504 bytes)

    twc-jasb1
    CUE file
    187 bytes (187 bytes)

Here is the contents of the CUE file:

    FILE "twc-jasb1.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:13:56
    TRACK 03 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 01:15:49

I used this as a quick guide on doing this, but before it starts to burn Nero tells me there is not enough disk space to burn this. (I did this by using the full path to the BIN file as well)

Any ideas on what's up? Thanks in advance.

  2. I had a lot of problems trying to burn files with Nero 5.5, every time it would read it incorrectly and view it as too big to fit onto CD. But moving back to Nero 5.0 has fixed the problem completely.

  3. bin/cue arent burnt with nero, try fireburner or cdrwin. Nero only burns nrg image files.

  4. Nero obviously does burn CUE/BIN images -- but there are multiple problems and I definitely don't recommend it, especially for S/VCD images.

CDR-Win, Fireburner or CDRDAO are better choices.

Here's an article on what Nero does wrong: http://www.hvrlab.org./~hvr/vcdimager/nero_bug.html

  5. I was having this exact same problem...with the same file as a mater of fact...I have had great success at burning application images from .bin/.cue, but have been unsuccessful using VCD or SVCD images.

The linked page doesn't say anything about the issues I am seeing, it speaks of after the image is burnt, this comes up durring the burning process as an 1100+MB file which will not be allowed to burn.

Look for a tool called vcdgear 2 it can extract the mpg from the bin/cue and then you can use nero to burn it. Also you can get a prog called fireburner it will burn it also.
