  1. Hi, I just bought a BTC 16x DVDrom, but I can't get it to play any movies from Media Player, it'll freeze when I install player software (ie WinDVD, PowerDVD, Maximus DVD, MikSoft).

I've also tried to connect it many different ways: Making it Master/Slave on IDE1 and IDE2. Ive connected on the same IDE as my CD-Rom and on the HDD, I dont' know what to do anymore please help.

    I've got a P4 2.4Ghz
    512 SDRam
    120 gig HDD

I don't know what else to provide.

  2. A friend of mine had exactly the same problems with BTC DVD-ROM and was able to solve it by taking it back to the store and changing it to Liteon.

Is it detected by your BIOS and windows?
Can you copy data using windows explorer?

Could you provide more info about your system like:
CPU speed, motherboard, operating system etc.

  3. I actually returned it but accidently left a DVD-movie. But it was detected by my bios, windowsXP, and I hadn't tried to copy data but it also froze midway through. I have a 2.4 Ghz P4 with an ECS MotherBoard. Thanks for the help.
