  1. Just got this drive and I used Instant copy to do a movie, encoding went fine, did another direct copy with dvddcryptor and it recorded fine onto DVDrw, but when I went to erase my Imation dvd-rw disc, it is saying
"I/O error ........ Unable to recover table of contents"
Tried erasing with Nero, Recordmax as well, no luck.
Also noticed that my LED on the drive is staying on wehn media is in it.

Also could not burn onto a Memorex DVD-r at all. Any kown issues with this media? did not find any.
I ordered Princos 1x, heard they worked well on this drive, I hope so...

    Any help is appreciated.

  3. I got the same DVD drive. Burnt Memorex DVD-R alright on the first disk, the second disk was only 4.32 gigs!!! So I tried burning dvd with instant copy with it, set the settings to way below 3.9gigs and it was still to big. Maybe your disk is lower than stated to? Anyone else have this problem?
Don't knock on deaths door, ring the doorbell and run, death hates that!

  4. Well, I guess we can count out Mem media..
Any luck using Imation dvd-rw? Like I said I got it to burn the movie but now it won't erase.
Also it would skip scenes on my APex AD800

Found this link to what toshiba says the drive works best with:

  5. Never had any problems Regarding media in my Toshiba sd-r5002 , generally I use Verbatim.

With regards to erasing your DVD-RW'S try right clicking on the drive it gives you an option of erasing all data from the disc ,it works every time for me. Your wasting your time using Nero.
