  1. I have encoded quite a few movies with no problems using Vdub and TMPGEnc, but I am having problems trying to make a VCD of Gangs of New York.
I loaded the file into Gspot and received this info:

    Video Info
    Codec:Xvid MPEG-4
    Codec Installed: xvid.dll

    Audio Info
    Codec MPEG Layer 3
    Codec Installed: l3codecp.acm

I go through the process of loading the file into vdub and saving the wav file as uncompressed with a sampling rate of 44100hz.
I checked for bad frames, there was none.
Then I set the video and audio source in TMPGEnc, choose the PAL template select the Source range.
Everything is o/k up to there but when I press the Start button to encode I receive the error message:

Write error occured @ address 77F52109 of module 'ntdll.dll with 0000000

I would appreciate any help on this matter.

    avivfw 0
    cyberlink mpg2 0
    microsoftmpg1 0
    wave file 0
    tmpgenc project 0

Hey Gringos, what version of TMPGEnc are you using? I ask because you don't seem to have a setting for TMPGEnc project file reader 2.510
I have it set at -2. Is this is correct? Also, I was told to return to my original settings for anything other than XVID. Would you agree with that?

  4. hi grinos, I think I have the same problem as geordiex. At the beggining of most/some movies I try to encode, I get the following errors in the BEGGINING:

"Write error occurred at address 77F52109 of module 'ntdll.dll' with 00000000"

    "Invalid pointer operation"

"Index of scan line is out of range(256)"

This happens only in the begginging though, either first frame or a little into it. If I change something or just try it again, it works (at least if I try enough times). This could be because I'm encoding a lot of xvid files, I haven't really checked. But I just want to know if this is the same problem and the same solution would fix this.

    thank you
