  1. I've been capturing for a few weeks now and have solved many problems through this forum. One problem I can't seem to solve is a horizontal line that appears at about half way through the screen when I capture at 480 x 480. When I lower the horizontal resolution it will climb up the screen until at standard NTSC VCD resolution it disappears. This line is about 2 or 3 pixils wide and looks like noise. It goes clear across the screen. One thing I notice is that it doesn't appear in the preview screen, but once I start to capture it appears. Please help!!

    My Specs
    Capture with VirtualDub
    1700+ AMD CPU
    7200 80GB HD
    512 MB PC133
    KWorld Capture Card

  2. I had a similar situation which I solved when I purchased a post amplifier/filter from BestBuy. I think the name of the gadget is called a "video copy master" and it goes from the output of the VCR to the input of the capture card. It filters, amplifies and levels the video.

  3. I don't think that is the issue because it doesn't show up on the preview screen. Even at very high resolutions. It only becomes visible when I start to capture? Weird huh.

  4. Same here it was not on the capture screen. Could be just an AC ground loop so maybe try runnng the VCR off of a different power plug or circuit.
