Recently I tried to convert a movie file from Xvid to mpeg2, but everytime it'll get halfway if not 99% complete and an error message will pop up saying bad video file. By the way, this has happened 4 out of the 4 times I have tried. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download Virtual Dub mp3freeze from Virtualdub.org. In the video option is a selection called check video for freezes. It will check your video for bad frames and make a log of them. You can then delete them from your file. Instrucyions on how to do this are at www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/142555.php Good luck.
