    I am new to DVD, so this may make you rollover laughing!

    One can use, eg Nero to "copy CD to CD - of a VCD CD".

    If l have a DVD ROM and a DVD writer/recorder, can l do a "disc to disc" copy? That is without ripping & etc...
    Assume the original DVD does NOT have any protection

    Yes just buy DVDXCOPY and make excellent copies of your dvd's.it is very easy.

    do not buy dvdxcopy that is a rip off. you can do the same stuff dvdxcopy dose with freeware tools. i have everything you need to do it with. copy any dvd in about a hour. pm if you are interested and i will hook you up.
