  1. I have been using the TRUE 2X DVD-R (white top/purple bottom) on my A05 and they have been burning at 2X withoug a single coaster at all. They work great!

So my first batch is almost gone and I know they were out of stock at allmediaoutlet a few weeks ago, I went back to check yesterday and they went up in price. I paid $28 for 25 on my first batch and now they are like $34 for 25.

Just curious, had anyone ordered recently and are they still the same type of blanks?

  2. Yeah I bought first 25 pack for $28. Then they went out of stock, and as soon as they got them back in stock, they raised their prices. I bought a 50 pack for $64 or so and just received them today, haven't gone home to check them out yet though.

They are just playing the game, they know people want the disks and noone has them at that price so they raised them.

While I did order the disks from them, I really don't like the company. They are rude and don't care about their customers.

  3. Yes, when the discs were out of stock prices were lower. However, I've never had any problems with them. Every order I've placed as been shipped that or the next day and service has been fine.

So again, it's all hit and miss Also when I got the 'true 2x' from them in past they came up as TKD discs (in DVD Decrypter) yet others say that are primco discs. So maybe they are miss and matching them.

  4. Hey DPCPRO let us know how the new batch works. I'm about to place an order and I hope they don't drop the prices AFTER I order. LOL

I am still testing on other DVD Players to make sure they play fine. There are just so many variables that it's hard to determine whether is the Burning Software or the Media that makes it incompatible with the standalone players. It has worked on two Apex players and Pioneer 525 but no luck on my PS2.

By the way, Vejita, I think they ARE princo discs as I read somewhere that there is legal action being taken by TDK to have princo remove that TDK tag. All my discs comes up as TDK0 something but I think they may have manufactured discs for TDK but in any case, I really don't care as long as they work. The 2X speed really does make more sense for me and well worth it.

  5. They stuff they are selling are Princo's, not TDKs.

Burned about 10 of my new batch so far no problems. Every player I've tried played these disks incuding XBOX and PS2. (Don't know why it didn't play in your PS2, could be burning software)

I re-author all of my backups using DVDMaestro (unless single layer) and then burn with RecordNow Max.
