Offfice-Max has these on sale for 24.99 (plus a $5.00 rebate)Khypermedia 25-Pack DVD-R. On my pioneer 105, they burn at 1x. I use these mostly for data, no problems on the ten I burned yesterday. The store had about ten packs when I bought my 4 packs yesterday.

Here's the link to order online.

  2. I've had mixed results with the kypermedia on the DVR-105 pioneer aka ceyndene 4X burner. I bought 2 10(spindle) packs for video stuff, and they worked fine. I bought 2 5 packs with the jewel cases and they were all coasters (I haven' t burned the last two because I am going to try them as data instead of video).

I just bought a 50 pack of supermedia's for $37 at supermedia.com. Burned 15 so far and they work great on the DVD players that I have tested them on.

  4. These were a total loss for me. I tried a 10 pack on my Pioneer AO5 and had 10 coasters. Checked the ID code and they were made by CMC. If they work for you then great, but I have had no luck with cheap media with my burner. Have also tried Princo (freezing near end of disc) and Imation (10 of 10 Coasters, had same CMC ID as Khypermedia) with poor results. Ritek 4x and Taiyo Yuden have given excellent results for me. They cost more, but have been well worth the extra money for me. I think my burner must be pickier than most with media. Have the 1.21 firmware.
