I'm getting a rip speed of around x 1.7 (x2.0 at best) and seems to take an average of 40mins.
It's a Pioneer 105 which I understand has a data rate of x 16.
I ripped a relatively small dvd at lunch-time (5.1gb) and it took 36mins, is this normal?
A couple of my ond movies last night took 45mins.
I would check to see if DMA is enabled but the proceedure I'd follow in Win98se (control panel, device manger, right click properties) isn't the same in WinXP - I followed the same porceedure as I would normally but there was no mention of DMA.
