  1. I have United-dvd player and almost all vcd-films are showed black and white. In my computer they look ok. Have anyone has same kind of problem?

Maybe it's a TV format issue? Playing NTSC VCD on PAL TV or the other way around can cause the pictue to be B&W.

  3. some standallone players can be force to play NTSC movies as PAL or PAL movies as NTSC .

In the menu of the standallone player mostly it is set to auto. if you choose Pal or NTSC instead then your forcing the player that mode.

Some players will then correcty play such movies.

For example: if the movie is NTSC and my TV is PAL I forced the Standallone to PAL & I can watch the movie like it should be.
otherwise The standalone outputs NTSC to a PAL TV which results in a black & white movie.

    just try it.

If it does not work , you'll have to reencode the movie to the desired format.

    greetings
