I love when Pioneer releases new Firmware and doesn't tell us what the hell is in the new firmware.

What makes it so special.?

It's always up the forums like this one to let's us know what new.

Does it finally burn Ritek G03 at 2x? Its so stupid that the A03 and the A04 can, but the A05 can't.

Its says they will burn PRODISC's at 2X with this firmware. Where do they have this disc and how much are they.

I have one Imation 1X left that my 105 constantly made coasters out of, but the 104 loved. I may try to see if the firmware fixes the problem???

I sure hope that this will let us burn the G03's at 2X. Anyone had any luck yet? Secondly, why is it only on the Au site and not others (like the US)?

It is on the Japanese site as well. The US site seems to be the last to update. But any of em will work.

Just updated... haven't tried it yet though but at least it recognizes all the media for what it is rated at (Ritek 4x, Tayio 2x, Ritek 2x, and Accu 1x)

I will have to give it a shot later.

Doom9.org is posting a 'patch' besides the update link to be able to go back to 1.00.

Haven't tried it yet but others over there are reporting that it works fine to go back.
