What are some of your favorite movie scenes that really 'show off' your surround-sound system? These would be scenes where the different channels are really used to the full effect!
Two that come to mind:
THE MATRIX: Near the end, when the bad guy is firing shots at Keanu Reeves, the famous slow-mo scene where he's bent backwards and the shots are 'tearing' thru the air. The bullets whizzing by from front-to-back, alternating left/right channels, very effective.
SPIDER-MAN: The scene on the rooftop where Spider-Man is just waking up after being gassed from the Green Goblin. The gas is just wearing off, and we hear the Goblins voice coming from all directions at various times. Very creepy, if not psychodelic!

The opening scene to Toy Story 2 is really good for showing of 5.1DD. Nice lot of rumbling bass for your sub, and good channel seperation.
