I ran across these instructions
https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/127933.php
The problem I'm having is finding the directory on the hard drive which contains the ripped files. I know the files are actually copied to the hard drive because the used space increases by about 5GB. The work folder that DvdXCopy shows, I can't find, even when showing all hidden files. I can even do a find files for "Video" and the work folder, but they don't show up.
Am I missing something obvious? I'm using XP. Not sure of the version of Xcopy I have, but I guess it's the latest, cause it also supports Windows 98.

C:\documents and settings\(user)\local settings\temp
"(user)" is what you are logged into windows with. usually your name or administrator. -
Hmm,
I'll take another look at it tonight. Strange thing is I can do a find all files and folders, with search terms "temp", "local", "video_ts" but nothing is found. I'm logged in as the admin. -
you need to make sure that you can view hidden and system files. go to tools and folder options to change this.

In dvdxcopy you choose where to output the files, just look and see where you have chosen to output them! It's called "work space folder" and you'll see what it is when you run dvdxcopy.
