hello, is there a way to rip VCD subtitle out, then place it on DVD?

Pretty hard I'd imagine, at least if the text is on top of the movie (in contrast to "in the lower black border"). Could be done with some OCR soft, but I'd say: "Not worth the trouble".

Can't you find the subs i some text format like SSA or SRT or anything besides included on a VCD? Y'know, VCD subs are part of the mpeg, so to make this work, you'll have to OCR each frame (which in itself will be hard, when the text is over an image), see if the text is the same as previous frame, if not, create a new sub and set time for the occurrance of the new frame (and mark the end of previous subtitle). Maybe there's an app to do this, but I've never seen one (not that I've looked...) I'd say it will be quicker to translate it by hand!
