  3. yes, http://www.vcdgear.com i use version 2.0 GUI. 8) VCDGear converts the dat file in the MPEGAV folder on your VCD and converts it to a normal mpeg.

  4. Best way: use lkVCDxRIP (GUI'ed in VCDImager Tools GUI)

    Then, just pop the S/VCD into your CD drive and you can extract all the media files off the disc as well as generating the descriptor XML file.
