  1. Hello.

I should make a backup copy of a dvd.

I made a total ripping on HD. Now i want to rip language and sub, but DvdDecrypter cannot (i think so) use a folder as starting point. It uses only the dvd drive.

My question is: does exist a way to make dvdDecrypter to point to a selected folder instead of the dvd drive? In smartripper it is possible, but SM looses nav pack when i rip a chapter.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I don't think so, I normally use smartripper for this. I'm not sure what you mean by 'losses nav pack' but it never caues me any problems.

I mean this. If i want to make a dvd-demo, with a lot of vob of different movies, i will rip the chapter that has the clip inside (clip that i want to burn).
The clip-vob, that i should burn, must start with a nav pack, otherwise, after demuxed, i could not import in sw like spruce up.

I tried smartripper and the vob that it makes (you can see it using vobedit) has only lba of movie and audio stream, not nav pack lba. But it can use a folder on HD.

If tried dvddecrypter and it is OK. But DVDDecrypter cannot use (is right?) a folder like point of starting.

    I don't understand this reply

I need to rip useless language and subs from video_ts located on harddisk, using dvdDecrypter.

Vobedit is not used to do this....

You need to use IFOEdit. Links to it are in the guides on this site.

Only now i've understand what you have told ( , and again )

You are suggesting me use dvd2avi, vstrip, etc in order to reduce the original vob; then use vobedit to demux 1 stream video and 1 stream audio.

    It is correct?

Sorry maybe I didnt get your point earlier...

Ok you have files ripped in HD..Right? And now you want to get rid of useless audiotracks and subtitles etc? You can use IfoEdit to do that job like q1aqza told earlier.

Here is one link that could help you:
