    Whenever I try to extract the wav from and avi using virtualdub, I get this error "No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format". I have the nimo codec pack installed and I have no idea how to get around this. any help would be appreciated.

    when you get that error with vdub means that you have to install the codec.not a codec that is in a codec pack.
    run gspot to see what codec it is then do a google search.
