Sorry for the newbie question but using DVD Encryptor, it tells me that DINOSAUR is a 2 layer movie..which usually means you have to use DVD2ONE to compress the movie to fit to one dvd-r...but the movie .vobs themselves is only 3.7GB. What is the easy way to copy the ripped .vobs to dvd-r? Is there a way to make them an .iso to burn with dvd decryptor? I can use DVD2ONE on them to make them the correct burning format but I dont want to lose quality.

DVD2ONE won't lower the bitrate if it doesn't have to. if you want to keep the menu and extras as well have a look at my guide here https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=146795

I think DVD2ONE did lower something...I had 2 folders for DINOSAUR. Once I DVD2ONE'd it I checked the file size of both. The original was 3.4GB while the DVD2ONE'd folder was 2.7. It like chopped 700K off one of the 1GB files.

hmm thats strange I did the same for movies like "The One" and "K-PAX" and it didn't lower the file size or bitrate.

Maybe the vob set that you ripped from the DVD had more than just the movie on it so that when you transcoded it with DVD2ONE it copied only the movie. Or if you didn't choose every audio and subtitle track when running it through DVD2ONE then it would have stripped the ones you didn't choose out.

Well I let DVD Decrypter pick out the movie files....i ripped to HD then I used DVD2ONE and picked the only movie file showing and only kept the 5.1 sound track...no subs and no more audio.

It lowered the file size of another less than 4.7GB movie too by a few hundred K...wierd.

Ill check out your link in a bit...thanks!
