Here’s my problem. I have an old movie (The Green Berets), which is set as side A and side B of one DVD. Now I Rip both sides, rename the VOB’s from side B so that I end up with 01-07. (Side A has 4 and Side B has 3). Now the problem. At the end of side A and after about 6-8 minutes into the last VOB, some “Film Trailers” (previews of additional movies) start. This is in the last VOB of the set on Side “A”. What I need to do is “Cut” out the trailers and some addition parts of a single VOB. So how do I cut out portions of a single VOB and save what is left of that VOB so the movie runs smooth? I know how to create the new IFO’s, Get the VTS and basically set up a new set of VOB’s. I’m just not up to speed on editing a single VOB. The total length of the movies is 141 min without the “Trailers” and 162 min with. Anyone’s assistance is greatly appreciated. When I get finished with this I want to run through DVD2One and end up with a single DVD-R.

if you want to preview the cut, you can use Chopper or ChopperXP.
If Chopper gets buggy (it did on me*) you can use Vobsplitter, but you can't view the file, you just set a numeric value for where the cut happens.
Both are freeware, if you check the Tools section here, or do a Google search you should be able to find 'em.

*the first two times I used Chopper, it worked great. The third time I used it, I couldn't get the video to display or move the time slider at all. That's when I found Vobsplitter!
