    year ago I had a device that would correct low color in the band width area by seeing a color and then replacing it wil a solid color

    does any one know of a computer program that will do the same thing.

    like restoring the color in a low color vhs tape.

    I don't know of any software but I bought this device at BestBuy that goes from the output of the VCR to in my case a capture card that amplifies, levels, and corrects color. It works very good and is worth the $40 it cost.
