  1. I'm sure that this has been posted before, however, I am having trouble playing files from Kazaa. It is a .mov file, and it will not open in QuickTime PLayer, Windows Media Player, or DiVX PLayer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is not the first file from Kazaa that I have had issues with.

  2. Brian, there could be many problems with the file, especially since it was downloaded from Kazaa. First, go here, https://www.videohelp.com/tools, get Virtualdub or BitrateViewer, try to load the file in one of these and then check the file properties to see what kind of file you actually have. You may also want to try to open it with Power Dvd or WinDvd.It may be corrupt in which case it may be useless.

    Hope some of this helps.

he has a mov file -- thats quicktime and will not load into bitrate viewer or v-dub and avi codecs will not help either ..

quicktime files can be any number of codecs as quicktime is a wrapper as is avi ... there are some qt files where you need special codecs that are not available to the public and/or only work on macs ..
