  1. i was wonder what I am doing wrong. I decrypted a dvd with dvdDecryptor then used dvd 2 one and the files that dvd2one produced are all too big to put on a dvd now?

  2. DVD2one defaults to a total file size of 4.36GB which leaves just 20MB to spare so some burning programs may not like this file size. The latest version of DVD2one allows you to set the output file size so try setting the file down a bit and see if that works.

Well true it's the VOB files that are being re-encoded by DVD2one. If you don't see a place to set the output file size then you have an older version so go to http://www.dvd2one.com/ and download the latest version.

  7. The latest version of DVD2one is V1.0.2 and on the first screen right below the file destination entry block there is a default file size of 4.460MB just change that to 4.4GB for example.

did you put just the VOB files? or all the files from Dvd2One's decoding? because you still need an .ifo file, a .bup file and whatever else DVD2One creates

When you ripped the DVD did you rip in the default file size of 1GB for each vob file? I've noticed that DVD2ONE produces a larger output if I use anything other than 1GB vob files.

Some stand alone players will play DVD-R or DVD+R media and some will do both. You can check to see what media your player will do by clicking on the DVD player link at the top of this page then do a search for the player.

Also if the burned media is not finalized or closed it will not play on most stand alone players.

Yeah ECDC is borked and it does the same for me. Use RecordNow to burn your DVD media. Another great product is NeoDVD Plus which not only will burn or copy but does capture/import/edit/author as well and does it fast.

All you really need is to put all the files in a folder named "VIDEO_TS" then burn that folder. You can add a AUDIO_TS folder if you want however I have burned over 200 DVD-R and never put in the AUDIO_TS folder.

BTW the only thing I use ECDC for is to make an exact copy of a backed up DVD. Funny thing is when doing that it doesn't have a problem with the 4GB limit.
