    I capture with a Dazzle DVC2 and the picture is great, but the sound is very weak during playback. Have switched soundcards but no better. Is there a way to increase the volume during conversion with TMPGEnc? or are there other conversion tools that will do this?

    TMPG> setting> advanced> audio effect
    You may try tooLAME as external audio encoder:
    TMPG> option> environmental setting> external tool
    Of course, first you have to install tooLAME.

    If you use DVD2AVI, click on 'NORMALIZE' in the audio settings. This adds a audio boost

    use cool edit 2000 for the highest possible quality audio amplifications. if you have the time.
