i authored a dvd and in the mpeg2 file everything is fine but when i play it on my standalone the video seems to be a little shaky.
i converted with tmpgenc and authored and burnt everything in ulead dvd moviefactory

The first thing you can try is under the Advanced tab. Try changing the field order. This does usually help with shaky video.
