Hello - I am a brand new member and I also have very limited knowledge about computers and burning dvds so I will try my best to explain my problem and it would be awesome if anyone could help.
I have a sanyo xacti digital movie camera which I bought in Hong Kong. The program which came with it is the MovieFactory 5. The video that I am recording comes up on my computer as MP4 when I am looking at the file.
I go through the program and it all looks good and then when I go to burn it it comes out shaky and jaggered. I have read on some discussion boards that this is due to the field order which I need to change. This 'field order' is that on my camera or in the program, as I don't know where to look for this. I am in Australia so I think we need to use the PAL system but I have no idea where this field order is to change, can anyone help me??
Thank you so much for listening, I look forward to any help at all...
PS Does this mean all the video I have can not be watched without the shakiness or can I reuse it once it is fixed?

I had the same problem capturing from VHS using DVD Moviefactory 2. Until I changed the field order from A to B.
Change it in Moviefactory. Don't remember off hand where that option is. -
Is the camera you bought PAL format or NTSC format?
MP4 is more compressed than DVD to begin with....meaning
the quality is not as good.
I have and use an old version of Moviefactory (2SE) and there is
a setting for PAL or NTSC output. -
Thank you very much for your replies, I will try to change the field order, but can anyone help me on how to do that in the program? I cant find it anywhere??

In DVD Moviefactory 2 the steps are:Go to Capture Video, Capture Settings, MPEG Settings, then Advanced, change Output Frame Type from A to B, then click OK.

Thanks heaps, but I can still not find how to do it. Your instructions don't correspond with the version 5 that I have. I think I will pop another post up to see how to change the field order in the version I have.
Also just wondering, I am capturing my videos using a Sanyo Xacti CG5 can I use another program to burn the videos onto disc or do I need to use moviefactory as this came with the camera?
