When a movie over 120 mins burned onto a DVD-R (such as hp2 or lotr ttt)on some standalones playback is jerky and keeps locking up!
Any ideas?

The film itself if off the net has probably had that many convertions DVDRIP to Avi to DivX to Mpeg2 then back to Divx again, and so on. If there's a bad conversion somewhere along the line ! -
I have the same problem with captured home videos. movie is 115 min. with 6 chapters plays first 60 min fine then locks up. any help would be great.
