  1. I have been having trouble with dvd's authored from svcds using ulead dvd movie factory 2 in that the audi is almost always out of synch. I demultiplexed using tmp, re-encoded the audio to 48k (using ssrc) and then multiplex back all with tmp.

I believe that the problem is where in the multiplexing with tmp. I don't remember this issue with spruceup, but dvd's did not alway burn with spruceup and nero was a bit of pain to use to burn.

Is anyone else had these issues and found out to resolve them? Maybe using womble to multiplex? I know that I will have to test these out myself as well ...

  3. Okay, I'll check that out. I don;t know goldwave myself. I assume that you use tmp to demultiplex the mpeg to video and audio files?

  4. I have the same problems with DVD factory. I converted my tv series VCD's audio to 48khz and remultiplexed it. The file would play PERFECTLY in sync while on the computer OR if i burned it as a xvcd onto a cdr and played it in my apex 1500. As soon as I use Ulead to burn DVD the sound would go out of sync on most of the episodes when played on the standalone or computer DVD player. I don't know why, but i suspect the software. The DVD-R i use is a rebadged A05 firmware 1.00 with memorex dvd-rs made by TAIYO YUDEN. Does somebody know what is wrong?

  5. LanEvo7 I don't think that the problem is with the burner. I just tried the svcd to dvd-svcd method. Tmp recombined the re-encoded audio file and by the end of the clip, or 40 mins the audio was way off.

Unfortunately being brain dead I had forgotten about the post by willmcmanus. But from my experience Spruceup did NOT make the audio sych problem when it combined the files into one.

  6. Well guys, I don't know what to believe anymore...

I have the same problems that you incurred in: an mpg file
that works perfectly will result in a DVD with the audio out of sync
when authored with Ulead MF 2 or with DVD Workshop.

On the other hand the result will be perfect if I use either DVDit! PE
    or SpruceUP.

    WHY???????

I posted this question yesterday and the olny suggestion I got was to
apply the latest patch for MF2. I have and it made no difference.

I hope someone knows what is causing this problem in MF2
and how to get around it.

  7. Same problem here with DVD Workshop - audio is in perfect sync before mastering and out of sync thereafter.

I think that maybe 1.3 has some kind of problem, because I used the same video in 1.0 and it worked perfectly.

  8. Thanks for that info Foolio70. I have been getting good success with Spruceup and until I see a better app out there I guess I'll stick with it. Someone has to get with it and develop a svcd-dvd authoring software to help lazy brain dead people like myself.
