  2. Damn, same problem here as well.
Burned lots of discs, and some give errors (ie. they freese in DVD player near end of main feature) and some do not (play fie all the way).

I'm not so good at trouble shooting, but I will be including some more information after some additional testing.

If someone could help us out (or post if U have same problem) it would be greatly appreciated : )

  3. 9 times out of 10 it's your media. Usually if the DVD has troubles at the end of the movie (closer the the center of the disk) it's your DVD player having a hard time reading it.

What speed are you writing at Some media is meant to be a higher speed than it really is i have bought disks for example that say they are 2x but when you go to write them there no good unless you write at 1x

    Try a slower speed

  5. I've had the same problem and am convinced it was media related. The media I was using was cheap Princo and they would almost always have lockups near the end of the playback. If you want to continue using cheap media, set your custom size in IC to no more than 4gig total output size and most of the disks should now work, also burn at lowest speed. Better solution is to use higher quality media. I have just finished my first spindle of Ritek 4x media with 100% success burning max size.

i have read somewhere that on cheaper media, the dye on the edge does go funny? and therefore usually at 4gb the disc just packs up. try better media and see if it still happens?
