  1. hi men,
    yesterday, when i tried to encode my dvd ripped with d-vision ,my terminal let me the following message: "missing name for redirect"
    now i can 't "encode" cause my terminal is "BUGging"

    i tried too with macdivxcreator but i 've got the same message

    the only solution i have is to use DivA wich is not using the terminal but can't rip all DVDs

    Can you help me? javascript:emoticon('')

    what is your desired output. There are better programs for dvd encoding.
    It depends on your output and what your source file is.
    How about more info and ill recommend another program to use

    What is the exact command line you are running? tcsh (the default shell for OS X, as I recall) returns that error message if it looks like you're using the I/O redirection operators (greater-than and less-than) incorrectly.

    to encode my file.mv2(video "vanity 9") , i used D-vision.

    I think that "DVD>>>Divx" directory is your problem, > is a special character to the shell. If you want to use it in a file or folder name on the command line you should put a backslash in front of each > character. Or put the entire directory name in single quotes and don't use any backslashes.
