sorry i will try to make myself a bit more clear, i have the latest codec's installed and the latest versions of nandub, vdub,TMPenc.my xvid movies work fine and with directshow filters in tmpenc set to 3 load just fine for conversion to mpeg. my problem seems to be vdud and nandud wont open a xvid movie,so i can't do much editing the full message reads" could't locate decompressor for xvid vdub requires a video for windows vfw compatible codec to decompress video directshow codecs such as those used by wmp are not suitable"..i have uninstalled and installed all my codecs including the xvid(koepis) if anybody has any solutions ................
