  1. Is it possible to rip subtitles from captured video mpeg2?

I am using Pctv Bungee to capture my old videotapes, and make VCDs after. But, some of them are too bad. But, they have subtitles in my language. Now, i can find much better DivX movie, but without my lang.Subs. Is there some possibility to rip subtitles from my captured mpeg2 video? I have tried SubRip, but it doesn't recognize them. Poor me....any genius ideas?

  2. I think you can run it through TMPegnc. It has like a crop feature. That would only work if the subs are in the little black bar at the bottom.

  3. No you can't do this. Those 'subtitles' are now nothing more than part of the encode MPEG. They are no longer a seperate selectable stream. Best bet is to get another copy/source for the subs.

Subrip et.al. read/extract the subtitles from the VOBs. Can't extract what's not there. Sorry...
