  1. hi all havent got a dvd burner yet but was just wondering is the mirror dvd writer any good 169 english pounds on http://www.pcworld.co.uk
    can anyone tell me is it ok for backing up ur dvds and of any probs it has.
    i think its an nec 1000a burner underneath.

    Ther is one thing that you MUST consider before purchasing a dvdrw and that is the cost of the blank media.The cheapest disks available just now are dvd-r, and dvd+r's are about 2 times the price so after a short space of time a dvd-r represents much better value for money.So if the question is dvd-r or dvd+r then dvd-r wins it outright.

    You can buy a toshiba 5002 dvd-r and 50 blank discs at www.pless.co.uk.This is a cheap place to get stuff from.
