  1. Has anyone here successfully imported a movie that was muxed by BBMpeg into SpruceUp? Everytime I try to do it, SpruceUp complains and says that the mpeg header information is corrupted. If you've gotten it to work, could you provide me with the BBMpeg/SpruceUp settings to do it?

    Thanks

Just skip the multiplexing and import the elementary streams directly. If it's already mpg then use TMPGEnc MPEG Tools and demux to mpv (change default m2v) and mpa (change from mp2). Then import the video file (mpv) and the audio will be imported automatically.

Spruceup works better if the files are demuxed before importing.

  3. Ronny - Thanks for the reply.

Originally I was using separate movie and audio files but SpruceUp was having problems with the TMPGEnc ES encoded video file. I read somewhere on this site that TMPGEnc doesn't produce correct MPEG2 output for PowerDVD but using BBMPeg to remux the video/audio files back together would fix the problem.

Anyways I gave up on TMPGEnc and used a different mpeg2 encoder which fixed the problem.

I think spruceup demuxes the mpg file internally anyway so it won't probably make any difference other than it's slower to import mpg.

I have not had problems with my tmpgenc files but maybe this is because I use toolame.exe as external encoder (set it up in options). I get a warning message from spruceup about the last audio frame but I just ignore that and it works without any problems.
