  1. I can't seem to find this answer anywhere.

Well here's the situation: I am using DVD2SVCD ver 1.1.2 b1, and I new to this program. I am ripping a movie and I noticed that the VOB files were all copied directly to my ard drive. So I am at the point where I am encoding with TMPGEnc, I also encoded with MPEG 5.1 audio; so my question is can I take the DVD out of the drive? Will the program require files from the disk later, or is it dependant on the DVD disk being in the drive? I am thinking that I should be able to since it copied files, but it has been 5 hrs already, and there is still 6.5hrs left according to TMPGEnc (besides anything else DVD2SVCD has to do, so I don't want to jeopordize and be stuck doing it again.

Any help ASAP would be great!

  2. Once DVD2SVCD is done ripping (either w/ VStrip or it's own internal routines) you can remove the DVD from the drive. In fact I normally rip the DVD on my own with DVD Decypter then point DVD2SVCD to the IFO file of interest.

  4. there is a little check box in (i think or else another tab) DVD rip tab that will eject the DVD after ripping.....That way you can be sure it has finished with the disc
How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then?
